Raging against the DEATH of the CREATIVE SPARK- ART IS THE WEAPON

Often throughout life- it places obstacles in front of us- to not only challenge us but I believe the universe often places obstacles in our path so we can see if we REALLY want something. 


What I want has changed slightly and morphed as needed but one remains clear- regardless of my age- and that would be the wish to be an ARTIST. My first love was the Girl with the Pearl Earring by Vermeer-.  The moment I came across her in my grandmothers living room I knew... and although it has taken some time for me to admit to others that I am in fact an artist, a painter of form...


My sister Callie sent me this a statement from My Chemical Romance and there words and passion as captivated me | inspired me | 

"We are a generation told not to try too hard. The world is going to shit, so why break a sweat? We are reminded daily not to trust our gut or follow our hearts, your dreams are unattainable and unrealistic... the band almost fell victim to this "just good enough" mentality and would have never been able to forgive ourselves. 


Art is the Weapon.

Your Imagination is the Ammunition.
Stay Dirty, and Stay Dangerous.
Create and Destroy as you see fit.
Embrace your Originality.
The Aftermath is Secondary.
You can and should do Anything.


Love what you do and who you truly are. Be willing to die for it. If you are true to yourself, you can never go wrong."
